From the admin account, follow these steps to create a Metadb reporting database connection available to all user accounts:

  1. Select New Connection from the "+" icon in the blue band at the top of the page
  2. Choose PostgreSQL
  3. Enter the host address, port, database
  4. Enter a short Connection name, such as Cornell Metadb
  5. Under Project, choose Shared from the drop-down menu
  6. Enter the User name and User password for the shared user account
  7. Click the checkbox for "Save credentials for the current user"
  8. Click Test
  9. If connection is successful, choose Create/Save to create the connection
  10. From the Shared connection in the left pane, click the icon with 4 lines and choose "Edit Connection"
  11. Choose the Access tab 
  12. Click EDIT
  13. Select the check box next to User and ADD, then SAVE this setting, which provides access to the connection to all user accounts
  14. Test the new connection
