From the admin account, follow these steps to create a Metadb reporting database connection available to all user accounts:
- Select New Connection from the "+" icon in the blue band at the top of the page
- Choose PostgreSQL
- Enter the host address, port, database
- Enter a short Connection name, such as Cornell Metadb
- Under Project, choose Shared from the drop-down menu
- Enter the User name and User password for the shared user account
- Click the checkbox for "Save credentials for the current user"
- Click Test
- If connection is successful, choose Create/Save to create the connection
- From the Shared connection in the left pane, click the icon with 4 lines and choose "Edit Connection"
- Choose the Access tabĀ
- Click EDIT
- Select the check box next to User and ADD, then SAVE this setting, which provides access to the connection to all user accounts
- Test the new connection
