The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), in conjunction with the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), annually offers a Professional Development Program in Food Safety for Middle and High School Educators.  The NSTA also provides online workshops through NSTA symposia covering emerging food safety and/or nutrition topics.
