Spring 2014 Contributions

  •  Organized weekly meeting times with sub-team member outside class. 
  •  Started looking into water-treatment technology options for the guide using http://www.wateraid.org/~/media/Publications/Handpumps.pdf for initial  reference. 
  •  Also looked at the old selection guide made in Excel and tried to understand its functionality, and drawbacks.

Mid-Semester Update

  • Researched technology platforms for the water treatment technology selection guide
  • Identified the pros and cons of using LabVIEW UI Builder, LabVIEW, and other web-based technologies like HTML, PHP.
  • Made an initial version of a decision tree for the guide considering just surface water solutions.
  • Identified suitable inputs/questions to ask the user
