Mar 19, 2008Check the Reynolds number! The low Re assumption is okay for very small flocs, but it doesn't work for much of the size range of interest. You can check my notes on the flocculation model to see the need to use coefficient of drag equations based on the transition region between laminar and fully turbulent.
