Oxfam is an international confederation of 14 primary organizations working in conjunction with secondary partner organizations around the world to find lasting solutions to poverty and injustice through advocacy campaigns, development programs and emergency response projects.

They work directly with communities and seek to influence powerful decision makers to ensure that poor people can improve their lives, livelihoods and have a say in decisions that affect them.

What they do?

• work with partners organizations and communities on long-term programs to eradicate poverty and combat injustice.
• deliver immediate life-saving assistance to people affected by natural disasters or conflict, and help to build their resilience to future disasters.

AguaClara related?

• Currently, they are trying to bring immediate relief to areas where the supply of water was contaminated or not available at all due to humanitarian disaster.
• Their focus appears to be more on disaster relief than but development and poverty eradication is one of their stated goals, missions that are intrinsically related with AguaClara's efforts. It would be a nice to-do-list for a future member to reach out to this organization to begin a dialog about what AguaClara technology can offer to poor communities in developing countries.
