Synology suggests that data scrubbing be run on their storage devices monthly to reduce data corruption. This scrubbing reduces performance on the device, but is not expected to be noticeable.
Able to be done when the cluster is in service
Data Scrubbing
- Chemistry IT tries to do these around the 15th of each month.
| Scrubbing date | Done |
|---|---|
| 2/22/2016 | X |
| 3/15/2016 | |
| 4/15/2016 | |
| 5/16/2016 | moved due to 15th on Sunday |
| 6/14/2016 | moved date due to conflict with regular maintenance |
Should only be done when the cluster is NOT in service
