1. Results from flash interviews for signage (Camille and Tobi)
   * interviews took place on Thursday, 11/13/14
   

   * 27 people
      - mostly junior/seniors/grads
      - so people familiar with us
   * heavy library users
   * circ desk
      - even though the word means nothing to them, they knew what the desk was about because of their familiarity with the library
      - suggested names
   * Circulation
   * Help Desk
   * Check Out
   * Start Here, Library Authority, Library Desk, Resource Desk, Information Desk, Rentals
   * info research desk
      - research help
      - searching (known and unknown)
      - again, very familiar
      - a few people mentioned one-on-one consultation
      - suggested names:
        * Research Help
        * Information & Research Help
        * Information
        * Help Desk, Source Help, Library
        * stone center desk
      - majority had no clue what it means
      - conflation between stone center, stone classroom and stone helpdesk
      - suggested names:
        * Printing
        * Print(ing) Help
        * Print(ing) Center
        * Computer Help Desk
        * Computing & printing help center, Technical Help Desk
   * followup
      - updated interview form to dig deeper based on initial round
      - questions asking to select a name of a desk from a list based on a task
      - link to online version on chatter

      - launching it on Tuesday, leave up for the end of semester
      - Camille: Anything else we want to learn about for this round?
      - Howard & Jim: Lobby display...does anyone use it?
   * Wendy Thompson is building inventory of all existing signage across the library
      - taking photographs of everyone and adding to Picasa album
      - categorizing as permanent or temporary, etc 

2. Displays & digital signage (Sara)
   

   * AppleTV - Sara heard that CIT has lifted the block on necessary ports
      - we have one...can we use it now?
      - for airplay (wireless screen sharing)
        * Jim: noticed Agati displays are not being used when making Suma rounds
        * Tobi & Howard: We've been seeing about 50% so maybe time of the day
   * Sara: Crestron AirMedia -> $1k each (need 4)
      - suggested by Matt

   * Sara: Interview Room - need to make it reservable
      - LibCal purchase
      - 20 rooms for $899 annually
      - how many do we get?
        * need 4 right now, possibly more (shouldn't be a problem)
        * CUL will cover the first year as pilot
        * then later we will split it with Law if no one else wants it
   * Tobi: circ display - Big Red Bikes are gone forever as of Sunday
      - Nick will remove this from the display 

3. Update from Gabriel on low-tech options for 2nd floor budget (via Nick)
   

   * looked at video walls and interactive display
      - nothing less than $20k
      - and that doesn't include dev or content
   * recommending we go with docking stations
      - Mac: Thunderbolt Display ($950)
      - Windows: build our own
        * purchase monitor, keyboard, mouse (~$500)
   * doesn't think we need to have equal playing field for mac and pc
   * we piloted these back in 2012/2013
   * macs were very popular from the beginning
   * we could get one of each...and use the rest of the budget elsewhere
      - or we could purchase more?
   * good idea?

      - general consensus was this is a good idea
   * how many?
      - agree it doesn't need to be equal playing field
      - maybe 2:1 or even 3:1, Mac:Windows
