Apparatus Description

The length of flocculation was increased in order to see how this would affect the effluent turbidity and the affect alum dosage had at higher flocculator lengths. The original set up included a bar connected to both process controller and the alum tank in the beginning and at the end is connected to a turbidity meter.

To extend length of tubing that the flocculation, the new experimental setup was constructed by adding on to the original setup. The we extended the setup so that we have two additional bars both in front and behind of the original bar, and thus tubing was tripled from 2796 cm to 8388cm.
