Start a Program and/or to Become a Host

Start a Program at your institution, your state, or your country
A person may take the lead in starting a program of JRCPF and identify an institution/organization, which would serve as a host for the program(s).

JRCPF Programs:

JRCPA is a campus community partnership award program which may be hosted within an academic institution, a state or nationwide. CASE grant program may be hosted in a department, campus wide, statewide or nationwide.

Guidelines and criteria for JRCPA and CASE

JRCPA

JRCPA recognizes campus-community partnership programs that improve communities and enhance learning. The winning programs receive a monetary award, the Carter Partnership Trophy and Carter Partnership Certification. To be a candidate for the award, a program should have a strong combination of the following components:

  • Collaboration between a college/university (public or private) for two years or more.
  • Shared power and decision-making.
  • Impact on the lives of families and communities through increased economic opportunity, resourceful social and civic networks, or responsive public systems.
  • Recognition of existing strengths and efforts to enhance the strengths.
  • Data-informed planning and decision-making.
  • A blend of learning, research, and service for higher education participants.
  • Efforts to enlist other collaborators like businesses or other civic organizations.
  • Documentation of measurable outcomes.
  • Promise of sustainability.

CASE

CASE is presented to a student whose project proposal represents a promising new idea in community service in a competition. The grant money is provided to implement the project.
