1. PowerNotes Updates
   1. Presentation by WIlson Tsu- earned a bachelors and masters degree in engineering at cornell
   2. also in attendance David Faulkner from Knight Institute
   3. background related to how he founded PowerNotes
   4. wanted to improve the process of digital research and how to take notes
   5. solving specific problems- workflow platform for research, trying to get into one product
   6. trying to fill in the gaps of the research and writing process-issues with making technologies work for research process- can cause errors, lead to lack of focus, and lack of organization
   7. can help create and outline of notes to assist with organization/reorganization
   8. potential to help prevent plagiarism- current tools try to CATCH plagiarism
   9. right now it is chrome based- but will add other browsers shortly
   10. grabs metadata to help with citations- can upload file to zotero
   11. Wilson will forward on more material that can be shared with the team
2. End of Semester Event Planning
   1. Collab- R&O, Liaison Steering, PSEC Instruction, Diversity and Inclusion
   2. morning- outside speaker, afternoon- library presentations
   3. 2 hour workshop related to diversity and inclusion for public service providers- waiting to hear from Cornell Woodson to hear about date availability.  Willing to do Zoom presentation
   4. will send out save the date information soon
   5. will ask for help from PSEC instruction group when we know more
   6. how to use up all funds- do we want to pay for another speaker?  Mary- travel award idea (might be $800 left)
   7. budget is approx $2000
3. 2 questions on behalf of PSEC Instruction for the AUL candidates-  we need to pick two as MUST HAVES with the option to pick others throughout other meetings.  Kelly will email the list with these and ask for responses.  Will send a final email on friday when they are due.
   
   1. General question about integrating information literacy into the curriculum
   2. balancing need for IL standardized across CUL vs customized for different communities  (this question needs context - how we get requests, how we work with FWS, number of sessions, etc.)  perhaps mention Undergraduate Learning Objectives-  How have you worked with departments on campus to address the issue of embedded IL?
   3. assessment- how to start programmatic assessment.  Talk about our CLIQ- why created, how used, where it is now.  Sharing our thoughts on how to do assessment.  Some discussion on wanting this to be open ended to see how they might engage in this process.  Back to standardized requirements across Cornell like other universities might have.
   4. What have you learned in your previous jobs about __________ and how might you apply it to __________? 
   5. What is a challenge you faced in your previous job related to information literacy and how did you address it?

   1. Assessment is chugging along.  Working on a stable page for Assessment with all documentation, information, guides to how to bring someone into the group.  List of acronyms. 
   2. Programming- end of semester event,  R&O/Liaison.  Possible dates 5/10, 5/11,  5/15, 5/17 (some concerns over last day of classes on 5/9).  Reach out to diversity group to add to morning event and will update soon.  Will be recruiting volunteers, set up clean up and so on. Will send out the RSVP as well for headcount/food concerns.

   1. waiting for NEW AUL interviews and process- everyone attend.
   2. orientation discussion on what we know, what we are waiting for, and how to engage with the people planning orientation
   3. discussion on fellowship fund and how to keep it going- immersion scholarship, other training opportunities.
