Wiki MarkupInformation literacy (IL), always crucial to the library, is now an explicit goal for every student graduating from Cornell: *"Information “Information Literacy*: access, evaluate, and use a variety of relevant information sources"\- [sources”- http://www.cornell.edu/provost/assessment/learning_outcomes.cfm|http://www . cornell.edu/provost/assessment/learning_outcomes.cfm] . What does this mean for those who do instruction at the library, and how can we as a "one Cornell \“one Cornell [library\]" ” make sure that students get the information skills they need to survive at Cornell and thrive in a rapidly changing world? Join PSEC Instruction for an all-day "summit" “summit” to discuss how we can:

• Increase our awareness and common understanding of student information literacy learning outcomes, the new strategic plans, and what part we play in building a cohesive IL program
• Examine the student learning outcomes and what instructors across the system are already doing toward these goals
• Brainstorm what an ideal instruction program would look like and do, and identify gaps and possible solutions in order to start creating unit-level action plans

Your participation is crucial! A strategic plan is nothing without the input, work and direction of those "in “in the trenches." ”  We invite you to make your voice heard as we collectively decide how the library addresses this important strategic priority.
