Spring 2011 Contributions

This semester I have been working with the foam filtration team and focusing on running experiments with our experimental apparatus. I ran a series of experiments with 30ppi foam to evaluate performance under a variety of influent conditions and determined that it does not perform well enough if we are designing for EPA standards. I have also been working on adding an additional column to out experimental setup so that we can run 2 filters in parallel. This will help us reduce any variability between trials and allow us to run more experiments throughout the course of the semester.
