Summer 2011 Contributions

I contributed to the Summer 2011 Sedimentation Tank Hydraulics Team by running several experiments to determine the optimal bottom geometry for floc blanket in the sedimentation tank.  The team experimented with double and single inserts, flat and trench bottoms, and varying the size and curvature of the trench.

Fall 2011 Contributions

I will continue working on the Sedimentation Tank Hydraulics Team this fall.  We will continue testing bottom geometry, as well as work on designs for the floc weir which will keep the floc blanket at a constant height.
