Pipeframe Design Program

The pipeframe is used to support the plate settlers at a certain height. It consists of a grid of PVC pipes linked together by connectors.

In the old design, the pipeframe was designed as a rectangular grid spanning the entire sedimentation tank. The problem with this design is that it is inconvenient for the plant operators when individual bays in the sedimentation tank needs to be cleaned or maintained.

The new pipeframe designs is based off of the design from Agalteca. The new pipeframe is designed for each individual bay. Thus the plant operator can access each individual sedimentation tank bay without as much hassle.

Additionally stubs are placed along the top of the pipeframe in order to hold the plate settlers in place and provide more stability.

However due to changes in other parts of the sedimentation tank, mainly the width of the Sedimentation tank's bay dividers and the addition of elevated plate settlers, additional changes to the pipeframe need to be made. Because in the new design of the sedimentation tank, the plate settlers will be elevated above the sedimentation bay. Thus the pipeframes needs to be elevated above the sedimentation bay. A support system for the pipeframes must be designed to elevate the pipeframe above the sedimentation bays.
