Accomplishments

• Defined our overall goals of our introductory test

1. determine in the lab if calcium carbonate precipitates out of solution at my precalculated pHs
2. discovering how changing concentration of calciumhypochlorite and changing alkalinity of the system effects the above statement

• set up our lab apparatus

• set up a time to meet and talk about teach-in
• vanish will meet ian tomorrow to set up process controller
• Christina will determine a flow rate to run the experiment

Issues

• we are slightly behind schedule because we are currently still dependent on people outside of our group for some information and resources. im sure we will always be some what dependent on other people but ideally that will decrease some degree.
• we need bicarbonate
• different strategies for solving our problem that were previously unknown keep popping up, and my focus is continually changing
