Demo Plant Spring 2008 Experiments

Objectives

The experiments were performed to characterize the performance of the demo plant under various flow conditions, in terms of effluent turbidity.

Apparatus

• Demo plant
• Cole-Parmer MasterFlex L/S peristaltic pump (x3)
• HF Scientific MicroTol inline turbidity meter
• Fischer Scientific magnetic stirrer
• Dayton AC/DC motor driven stirrer
• 1 L bottle
• 14 L bucket
• Connecting tubes, valves and fittings
• 500 mg/L kaolin clay suspension
• 1 g/L aluminum sulfate solution
