Some instructors keep using guide after semester ends – could move it to a previous semester group, group retired ones to private view.
Update the date, make private. If hear from instructor can make public again.
Explore working with Canva adminitrtors to see if embed them and then do cyclical review – would expand consistency on our part
Assessment
Usage date, way to get more feedback on how guide works for people.
Can we use the survey function in Springshare to get feedback from users
Layering of learning, assessment – ex: student can say what course they’re enrolled in, can see who’s using beyond the course it was made for
can we isolate assessment to students or faculty, so we aren’t just measuring librarian use

Active Learning
If embedded in LibGuide, is another layer of stats, another layer of usage we can use to prioritize guides being made accessible because we know getting heavy student use: https://libguides.uark.edu/LibGuidesGuide/LibWizard (need to check on accessibility of it)
Can do learning assessment through active learning in the LibGuide, a starting base of the learning that happens through the guides. Interactive elements track student engagement and confidence in completing tasks. These are user-focused assessments, may take more time to create.
How make sure all videos are accessible
Harvard’s best practices guide – expected they would have learning outcomes at top of each one.
Foundational question: what is the audience for each guide? Lots are for librarians, or anyone who might approach that subject. Have course guides. Use them to answer reference, use like ref tools
To build engagement is dense work. Which guides are course embedded? Would be a priority area to pilot to build learning engagement into the guides
Students less likely to want to leave the site of their learning, so better to build guides into Canvas. Tradeoffs of control of stats.content in LG vs Canvas
When librairans are embedded, get too much email to keep up with just with one or two classes
The need to get more info beyond traffic numbers, don’t tell us all we need to know

Strategies for diff levels of guides
Create menu of best practices depending on goal/audience
Ex: once students lost canvas access, could find guide again
Naming protocols – we need to create these
Scope – different levels and also different majors. Arts and Sciences diff from business diff from science, etc.
Check in with UX group and assessment for recommendations on how to test
Discoverability – UX help us understand multiple paths to our guides and role of naming conventions
