• Discussion: Thomas provided a comprehensive update on the current and upcoming Folio releases:

  • Ramsen CSP.1 has been released, resolving a showstopper bug related to automated patron blocks.
  • CSP.2 is in progress and expected by May 5. It includes a fix for a receiving app bug and a script to be run post-upgrade.
  • Sunflower Bugfest has been extended due to untested cases and multi-platform testing (Eureka for single tenant, ECS for multi-tenant like Library of Congress).
  • Trillium is in active development with a long dev cycle, targeting a November GA release. However, due to holidays and bugfest extensions, internal deployment may slip to January or February.

• Complications:

  • Developer resources have been reduced post-LC implementation.
  • Role and permission migration is delayed due to issues in the Eureka platform.
  • Fiscal year rollover may delay upgrades to avoid conflicts with reporting and system changes.

• Overview: Thomas summarized updates from various SIGs and working groups:
  • Acquisitions SIG: Working on batch fund allocations, data in the Lists app, and new reports.
  • App Interaction SIG: Focused on hiding fields, printing, and overarching app interactions like keyboard shortcuts.
  • Implementers Group: Discussed permissions, inventory, shelf reading, and override functionality.
  • Linked Data: Alberoappointed as new PO; working on new instance data elements.
  • Privacy SIG: Being revived to address data privacy, encryption, and anonymization across Folio.

📊 Reporting Developments (00:10:08–00:16:50)

• Presentation: Sharon presented major updates in reporting:
  • LDP (Library Data Platform) is now an official project under the Open Library Foundation (OLF), bringing governance and technical support.
  • MetaDB 1.4 & 1.5: Focus on data anonymization and restructuring data arrays into columns for easier reporting.
  • New Reporting Interface: Demonstrated a UI for running parameterized reports directly from Folio using MetaDB. A test report was shown counting users by patron group.
  • Performance Considerations: Emphasis on ensuring reports are performant and do not burden the Folio system.

📣 Upcoming Reporting Meeting (00:17:00–00:17:45)

• Announcement: An open Implementers Group meeting on reporting is scheduled for next Tuesday at 11 AM ET. Sharon Markuswill present.

🛠️ Resource Access & JIRA Backlog (00:17:45–00:19:47)

• Discussion: Resource Access SIG is reviewing over 1,000 JIRA tickets older than 3 years.
  • Two subgroups formed:
  • One for backlog triage (meets biweekly).
  • One focused on improving the Courses app (also biweekly).
  • Thomas and a Cornell representative are involved in the Courses subgroup.

🧭 Product Council Prioritization (00:19:47–00:20:00)

• Overview: Product Council is collecting top 5 priorities from each SIG to guide development focus across the Folio ecosystem.

🔍 Vendor Rep Search Feature Request (00:20:00–00:22:08)

• Proposal: Sally requested the ability to search by vendor rep in the Organizations app.
  • Thomas will check with the PO for an existing ticket.
  • Ann will add the request to the Implementers page for Acquisitions SIG.

🕒 Calendar Glitch Discussion (00:22:08–00:24:00)

• Issue: Sally noted the meeting appeared at 7 AM in her calendar and couldn’t be moved.
  • Thomas will resend the invite with a fixed time zone (Eastern).
