Background information: Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar Ohio (antigenic formula 6,7,14:b:1,w) is a serovar of the O:7 (C1) serogroup. This serovar has been previously reported to cause septic arthritis and bone abscess in an immunocompetent patient.
