General Program Information

This program draws the slopes into the bottom of the floctank to provide access for the water to flow out of the valves when draining. Since drains must always be put in the first and last channels of the flocculator, in the event of an even number of channels, there will be two drains placed contiguously in the channels closest to the entrance tank. This code is the same for horizontal and vertical flocculators.

Technical Program Information

1) A new layer, "flocdrainslopes," is created.

2) The slopes are iteratively drawn as wedges in each channel from the channel closest to the sedimentation tank to the channel closest to the entrance tank.

3) All wedges are unioned.

4) The "floctank" layer is thawed so that it may be edited.

5) The unioned slopes are subtracted in a single command from the floctank.

6) The "floctank" and "drainslopes" layers are frozen.
