What services can PhysIT provide to the Physics Chair which he or she would value, above and beyond what Barry provides? |
Summary
(1) Barry is primarily responsible for providing IT support for the Chair's computer.
- Barry is responsible to arrange staff support for when he is not available.
(2) PhysIT is responsible to provide IT support for certain services the Chair's computer uses, and PhysIT is happy to facilitate using those services.
Specifically, PhysIT provides Physics Admin the following services which are used by the Chair's computer:
- The network used within the Physics Admin areas.
- PhysIT is happy to facilitate connecting Jeevak's laptop to this network.
- The printers used within Physics Admin areas.
- PhysIT is happy to facilitate connecting Jeevak's laptop to these printers.
- The Chair's Apple monitor.
- PhysIT is happy to help in any way if their are issues with the monitor.
As of spring 2015, the current Chair is Jeevak Parpia.
- Jeevak received a new Apple Macbook Air (laptop computer) this spring 2015.
- The laptop computer was purchased with LASSP money and set up by Barry.
- An Apple monitor was purchased with Physics Admin funds and set up by PhysIT.
