To do's

• Meet with Lin and Min Dong (and Zhewang Lin?) to debrief. Express work done, what was tried, what failed. And any residual risks. Outline possible next steps, and make commitments, as appropriate.
• Have Min Dong confirm restored system can be properly configured to make it work with their instrument. Once that is done:
  • Have ChemIT harden system.
    • Remove from network?
    • Add p/w to Admin account.
    • Anything else worth doing?
  • Image the working HD with ChemIT's tools, in case hard drive fails again. (Will not protect against many other forms of failure, alas.)
  • Consider building a Windows 2000 system on newer (different) hardware, and seeing if that will allow the software copy-protections.
    • This may be much easier to accomplish while the primary computer is booted and still working correctly.
