Announcements and Updates:

Agenda Items:

  1. Statistics - Zsuzsa is leading a committee to explore measures that reflect the current reality of Reference, Outreach and Instruction activities in the library.  The committee will look at all the questions that arise in statistical reporting to figure out what ARL needs.  When ready, the Instruction and R&O Committee would like to co-host a forum to share this information with CUL staff.
  2. Usability - Wendy proposed collaborating with the Library Guides Committee (chaired by Lance) to sponsor usability testing of course guides.  Wendy will contact Lance and the Usability Committee.
  3. PSEC Instruction Public Website - the Instruction Committee website will be migrated to Drupal.  Basic information will be provided on this page and visitors will be directed to the Instruction Committee Wiki for up-to-date information on the Committee's activities.
  4. 2011 ACRL Immersion Site Selection Application - is being tabled until a later date since the session for 2010 will be held in Burlington, VT.
  5. LIPP - one new participant.  Jeremy Cusker has been partnered with Camille Andrews.   Lynn is coordinating a lipp brown bag on December  7TH from 12-1 in Olin 106G.  The session will be similar in content and format to the PD Week presentation.
  6. Active Learning Techniques - Camille and Tony are collaborating with ATC, the Center for Teaching Excellence, and CIT to host this session in the Spring of 2010.
  7. CUL Instruction Mission Statement - the mission draft has been posted to the wiki and all committee members are asked to read and provide comments on the draft.
