Documentation of the steps to acquire a license

Documentation of the steps in the current process required to obtain a license to practice art invented at Cornell by a faculty member. Include situations where the faculty member would like to (or has) set up a company to pursue commercial application of that art as well as situations where an external entrepreneur or venture capital group would like to (or has) set up a company to pursue commercial application of that art.

Documentation of the steps to craft an agreement

Documentation of the steps necessary to craft an agreement between a major corporation and Cornell Center for Technology Enterprise & Commercialization (CCTEC) to develop technology with expertise provided jointly by the company and COE, and I.P. developed to be owned jointly.

Prior recommendations and best practices

Summarize prior studies and recommendations for best practices in technology commercialization including

• The Technology Transfer Committee of the Alumni Council (Are minutes are available from the Alumni Council Office?)

• The Technology Transfer Advisory Council final report (This Council reports to Senior Vice Provost for Research Bob Buhrman. Sam Fleming was on this Council.)
