Agenda / MinutesLearning Outcomes ReviewBased on everyone's work in organizing the Learning Outcomes we spent the meeting selecting the most appropriate statements. We narrowed our choices to two statements per ACRL standard so that we could invite the instruction committee to provide feedback on our work. Our process for paring down statements to two for each ACRL standardd was based on : 1. the statement's relation to each ACRL Information Literacy Standards We also discussed whether we should be calling these statements Learning Outcomes or whether they should be called something different, such as Standards. We decided that Learning Outcomes are used at many different levels, and that these suit the general goals of our instruction program. More specific learning outcomes used for class activities will draw from these general statements. Topic 2Gaby shared Janet McCue's suggestions for the open forum on assessment, which consisted of inviting the instruction coordinators via email to participate. Gaby to draft email invite and have Tony distribute so that we can begin putting together a forum for late April/early May. Action ItemsGaby to draft invite to instruction coordinators for open forum on assessment. Tony to distribute draft of Learning Outcomes to rest of instruction committee. |
