Review of December Meeting

The Malt Committee will:

Liaise with other committees

• New member-Gabriel Plaine (PAC)
• Howard-in charge of AV
• Greg-in charge of PAC
• MALT-in charge of Bissett
• Also need to liaise with LOL (I'll talk to Baseema), PCAC?, any others

Provide Bissett Recommendations

• not on regular funding cycle; we can get money whenever; just tell Eveline and Holly; ask them what kind of money we have; shoot for June 8th recommendations
• Needs for Bissett-look at short and long term and each of us investigate an area
• Possible assignments?* John-Microsoft Surface and possibilities for subnet (what opportunities for future and highend users?)
• Angela-furniture and building concerns (noise, traffic, light, color, etc)
• Camille-collaborative software like Teamwork and other apps (what's the need for this kind of software? What options are there?)
• Jim-publicity and marketing (w/Laura) (how to let people know it's there? Ways to advertise in the space?)
• Matt-AV and other hardware and equipment for the space (how to better alert users how equipment functions?)* All-
  • monitor EDUCAUSE, INFOCOMMONS-L, etc for useful learning technologies ideas;
  • look at other spaces to see what they are doing;
  • any other ideas for space;
  • look over previous space studies for next meeting
