Accomplishments

-Using mathCAD we calculated the jet streams coming from the orifice. Based on this result, we were able to rule out all of our bucket ideas because the bucket would be unable to catch the water coming from the orifice.

• We have decided to pursue the inclined planes design.
  -On Tuesday and Wednesday we went to the Pilot Plant. With help from Jeff we were able to get the plant working and observe the LFAM and test designs. However, none of the inclined plane designs seemed feasible with the current LFAM.

Issues

• Water jets coming from LFAM did not correspond with our calculated distnaces
• We may need to redesign our retrofitted design

Goals for upcoming week

• Come up with a new retrofitted LFAM design
• Test the design at the Pilot Plant
