This semester I have joined the newly created Regional Planning team. We are responsible for helping AguaClara choose new parts of the world for plant operations. We are going to look at India as a first contender, using the connections that AguaClara LLC already has, and narrow down regions for feasibility. Using research methods and engineering cost-benefit analyses, we will evaluate the feasibility of potential sites using a variety of criteria: natural resources, surface water availability, local politics and community, local materials, etc.
