I am new to AguaClara this semester, and I'm on the Fabrication Sub-Team. I have been helping design better methods for construction at the sites. We discovered a flattened tip drill bit can be used to make <1" holes in the PVC tubing and sheeting.  I also helped to construct several prototypes for attachment to the inlet manifold.  Our team has also worked on a drilling jig for more aligned holes and designed an adjustable weir for the entrance tank.
