Welcome to Tracey Snyder from the Music Library. Tracey will be joining the committee on a two-year term.
Tony announced that he is working with the Blackboard Updating and Implementation team. He will keep us posted on this group's work and discovery.
Camille announced the Information Competency Institute Showcase on Sept. 27, 2010.
2. Committee composition & ties to other committees and groups
Gaby will remain our liaison to RAU; Camille to LibGuides and ICI; Jaron to PSEC Exe.
3. Review instruction committee mission statement and learning objectives
The Instruction mission statement and learning objectives are posted on the instruction section of the CU web site. This will hopefully help faculty & staff jumpstart thinking about goals and objectives for their own course instruction when they contact the library. We will continue to discuss how to integrate the learning outcomes in instruction.
4. Programmatic planning and outreach for 2010-2011
Focus on strengthening partnerships with on-campus partners.
• At a R&O forum last spring the Documentation Committee showcased an online guide, Introduction to Research. Tony and other members of PSEC instruction who attended the forum indicated that we would be interested in collaborating with them on updating this material.
Update: The Documentation committee will be in touch with Jaron in the coming weeks to discuss how to collaborate with PSEC instruction on this and potentially subsequent guides.

• Discussed other possible on-campus partners (CTE, CIT, etc.)
• Discussed possible outreach ideas such as a spotlight on instruction.
• Hands-on workshops possibilities-clickers, rubrics, active learning, LibGuides and or SoftChalk and video, Blackboard integration.
5. Assessment 2010: Student needs and expectations
Discussion on what students EXPECT, NEED, WANT from library instruction services and how to obtain this information.
