Accomplishments

• Run two groups of simulations with single bend to investigate sensitivity to turbulence intensity and hydraulic radius:
• 1st order with convergence criteria of e-6, turbulence intensity:10%, hydraulic radius: 0.004;
• 1st order with convergence criteria of e-6, turbulence intensity:1%, hydraulic radius: 0.04
• Analyzed the plots of residuals

Outcomes

• Concluded that convergence property and results were not sensitive to the two parameters above
• The plots of residuals showed no observable high regional residual

Issues

• 1st order solver didn't converge below e-4, fluctuation in the tails of the residual plots were also observed
• Need to run simulation with more coarse mesh
