Step by step

Since many of the shapes we are attempting to make have tall heights/deep curves, the plug shapes are split into layers for CNC’ing. After they are CNC’d we glue them together to create the desired shape

(Resistance Racing - Unibond 800)

  1. Pour out a bit of glue on the plug.
  2. Place the two parts of the plug together.
  3. Clamp the foam together.
  4. Let it sit for 6 hours.

(Baja - US Composites 150 Thick Epoxy Resin + 4:1 Epoxy Hardener)

  1. Measure out 4 parts 150 Thick Epoxy Resin into a cup on a scale.
  2. Measure out 1 part Epoxy Hardener on the scale.
  3. Mix the resin and hardener together vigorously using a popsicle stick.
  4. Pour a small amount of the mixture onto the foam and spread it around with a squeegee.
  5. Place the two layers of foam together and hold them together with a clamp or weights.
