Preparation

This page is a companion to the Workshop called Avenues to Equitable Access held on 9/23/2014.  This page covers portion of the program devoted to HathiTrust Enhanced Access. 
Together we will explore this offerings that provides e-access to full-text for those in the Cornell community that have a registered print disability.

HathiTrust is a

  • consortium - over 90 partner institutions
  • digital library - ~ 11.5 million volumes (and growing all the time)
  • preservation repository - persistent links for resources in lower left navigation bar for both book and page level persistent access.

Exploring the digital library

  • Basic and advanced search - every book is full-text searchable
  • Full view (~4M) and limited view (~7M)
  • Reading online: image and OCR view
