Joe

Issues

• Submitted Tech Awards Grant (TAG) after it was edited by Narayana. I also did some minor edits in order to meet the word limit
• Met and emailed with Narayana concerning TAG and the Engineering Sustainability Conference, both of these issues were resolved.
• Researched Community Foundation of Tompkins County and CUTonight as potential sources for funding. Both were ruled out due to a lack of fit with the program.
• Spoke to contact in Daily Sun about article on AguaClara (note: this was NOT Jeff Katz); they said they were working on it.
• Began looking at Ford Foundation (website crashed) and will continue doing to this week

Outcomes

• One grant taken care of allowing us to concentrate on other grants as well as revising the 5 year plan.
• New group model is effective.

Issues

• Will draft letter fro Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation
• Will find contact as well as fill out info for the Ford Foundation (Note: this information should be carefully looked over as the Ford Foundation tends to scrutinize applications very closely.)

Narayana

Accomplishments

• Met with Joe and clarified the Engineering Sustainability Conference issues. That has now been taken care of
• Edited the Tech Awards Grant (TAG) and sent it to Joe for submission.
• Investigated the Resource Foundation, but could not find a contact.
• Investigated the Bartles Fund as a source for travel funding.

• Edited the TAG and sent it to Joe for submission, that grant submission has now been taken care of.
• Will find contacts for Resource Foundation through email and investigate the Bartles Fund further.

Issues

• Will continue emailing funding sources in order to establish contacts.
• Will begin to work on the 5 year plan with Joe as a long term goal for the semester.
