Gracias Design

 Tania, Reiko and Monroe spoke with John to discuss Gracias design. The following are the ideas settled upon:

• Make entrance tank larger, approx. 1.5 x 3 m
• Place barrier before the riser rube
• Eliminate inlet pipes and replace with square concrete channels
• Decided on a 3 sed. tank double-width design, but create 2 v-channels and containing 2 sets of slopes
  • Basically a 6 sed. tank design, but wall is removed
• Change floc channel width to be equal to the sed tank width

Design Changes

The settling velocity for the sed tank was determined by Monroe. We need to incorporate that velocity into the design.
