Paragraph (My task is basiclly using Mathcad to do certain theoretical analysis, and I have attach them on the ANC's webpage see MathCad file。I caculate the required lime dosage demand from the data provided by the previous team's chemistry analysis spreadsheet, provide the relationship between hardness of raw water and the alum dosage with the demand plant lime dosage, and then I analysis the change of PH with the change of ratio between limedoser flowrate and plant flowrate see Analysis of lime feeder requirements based on Mathcad. . After our team decided to try to use slanting pipe, I caculate the relationship bewteen the slanting tube length and the smallest particle the tube can capture.see Experiment 3: Addition of sloping glass column above the lime feeder and Tube-length CalculationsWorking with the team to run experiment with our new apparatus, I spent a lot of time observing the phenomenon and analyzing the data recorded by process controller, put up suggestion on using distilled water in future experiment. In the last experiment under my suggestion, we used distilled water with new flow rate, and successfully made effluent pH last more than 8 hours. Becasue our experiment usually takes more than 6 hours, I came to lab very frequently to check the apparatus and the data during this semester.)
