Background: Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar Richmond (antigenic formula 6,7:y:1,2) is a serovar of the O:7(C₁) serogroup.¹ In addition to animal sources, serovar Serovar Richmond has been isolated from turtles, tilapia, moringa leaf powder, aqueducts, onion, fish products, and poultry.^{2,3,4,5,6,7,8}

Genetic Characteristics: Serovar Richmond has displayed multi-drug resistance (AMP/CAZ/CTX/CN/KF/KZ/S/TE/NA).⁵ 

Animal reservoir: Unknown

Geographical distribution: Serovar Richmond has been associated with food products from India⁹ and has been found in Europe, Thailand, and the U.SKorea.^2,4,5

Outbreaks: Outbreaks have been associated with S. Richmond.
