  • On CNF Windows and Mac where you are the only user of the machine, CNF Computing will pre-install Crashplan for you.
  • If you share the machine with other users, CNF Computing will assist you in installing Crashplan in your individual user login.

If not auto prompted to sign in to CrashPlan, start CrashPlan's GUI from the Start Menu - C - CrashPlan - CrashPlan .

On the main CrashPlan window, you will be prompted to "Sign in to CrashPlan" with a You will be prompted for a Username and for a Server Address.

If you have never used CrashPlan before, you are done, and CrashPlan will begin backing up your home folder on the computer. 

If you have used CrashPlan before, CrashPlan will ask if you want to "Add a new device" or "Restore an existing device". Choose Choose Add new device. Crashplan will then begin backing up your home folder on the computer.

You can close the CrashPlan window as backups will continue in the background. OR you can restore files from a previous computer.
