Yitian is working on the Low Flow Stacked Rapid Sand Filtration project (LFSRSF) with team members Rachel Proske, Mihir Gupta and Kris Lapan. 
The goal of the project is to first test the workability of the newly constructed filter, including optimizing inlet and outlet piping systems to reduce headloss, then collect data to get the desired filtration efficiency for target flow rates, and finally uses engineering power to design a construction-friendly plan for the real size filter in Honduras next year.
