I am working with the Plate Settler Spacing research team. I am currently helping to run With my team I helped set up and monitor experiments designed to test tube-settler robustness by subjecting it to non-ideal conditionsby varying alum dosage. We collected and analyzed the data using Excel. Following the alum dose experiments my team and I used Mathcad to try to determine what particle diameter and critical velocity would cause floc rollup in the tube settler. We just began collecting experimental data on this by ramping the flow rate to see exactly when floc rollup occurs.
