During this semester, I worked on the Chemical Dose Controller. While a substantial portion of my time was spent trying to understand how CDC and all of its components work together, I was responsible for bringing the Mathcad files of the three previous subteams, LFOM, Chemical Doser, and Flow Controller, into one comprehensive CDC file. I also began testing tested to see what size of tubing would cause free fall would to fail in the current Chemical Doser design. After the refocusing of our subteam to become more design-oriented, I worked on coming up with an entrance tank design for the Gracias Plant. I worked, along with my teammates on developing a Mathcad file that would give all of the important dimensions of the entrance tank we designed. I also helped to figure out what parts would need to be ordered to build a Nonlinear chemical doser, and ordered those parts.
