Spring 2016 Contributions
This semester, I am continuing work with helped start the 1L/s Prefabrication team. Last semester, my team and I designed In Fall 2015, I worked with Kimberly Buhl and Skyler Erickson on the CEE 4540 007 team to design a 1L/s sedimentation tank as our final design project in CEE 4540 and this semester we are finalizing that design and building . This semester we refined a single pipe design and built a 1/3 9 scale model of an updated low flow sedimentation tank. We are also designing a flocculator and testing fabrication techniques for full scale production in Honduras and India. The end goal of this semester is to have a fully designed 1 L/s plant and a set of fabrication techniques for plant constructionshowed that plastic welding is a viable option for plastic tank fabrication and successfully cleaned water in the lab to meet WHO standards.
