Sophie Vandebroek is Xerox's chief technology officer and president of the Xerox Innovation Group. Prior to that, she served as chief technology officer at Carrier Corp. From 1991 until 2000, Vandebroek held a number of increasingly responsible roles at Xerox including Xerox's Chief Engineer, technical adviser to Xerox's chief operating officer and director of the Xerox Research Centre of Canada.

Vandebroek is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), a Fulbright Fellow and a Fellow of the Belgian-American Educational Foundation. She holds twelve U.S. patents. She has received awards from Xerox, IBM, HP, Monsanto, the Belgian National Science Foundation, Semiconductor Research Corporation, IEEE, and Cornell University.

Vandebroek served as a judge for MIT's Technology Review Young Innovators awards, the Wall Street Journal Innovation awards, and the FIRST LEGO and robotics competition. She is a director of Analogic Corporation, a member of Cummins Inc. Science & Technology Council, and a trustee of Worchester Polytechnic Institute.

Vandebroek lives in Lincoln, MA with her husband and their six teenagers. She was born in Leuven, Belgium where she earned a master's degree in electro-mechanical engineering from Katholieke Universiteit prior to receiving her PhD in electrical engineering at Cornell University.

Andrew W. Verhalen joined Matrix Partners, a venture capital partnership
in 1992. Since then he has led Matrix’s involvement in dozens of successful
technology companies, including Phone.com, which went public in 1999;
SiTera, which sold to Vitesse; and Alteon Websystems, which listed its shares
on Nasdaq before being acquired by Nortel Networks. Before joining Matrix,
Verhalen helped start Grand Junction Networks, an Ethernet switch business
that is now a major division of Cisco. Previously he worked for 3Com, where
he built a new division focused on network adapters and hubs. Prior to that,
he managed marketing for Intel’s flagship microprocessor, the 8086. Today
he is working with a few young companies: Ambarella provides HD video
and image processing solutions; Panzura provides enterprise cloud storage
controllers; Sila Nanotechnologies is developing advanced battery materials.
Verhalen received a B.S. in electrical engineering, M.Eng. in electrical
engineering and M.B.A. all from Cornell.
