Carnegie Corporation of New York (Submitted)

The Corporation accepts requests for funding at all times of the year and welcomes inquiries from potential grantees whose work fits our strategic guidelines. There are no application deadlines. Grantseekers who would like to approach the foundation with a preliminary request for funding are encouraged to submit a letter of inquiry. If the project described in the letter fits the foundation's guidelines, the sender will be contacted and asked to submit a proposal in the Corporation's format. A request to submit a proposal is not an indication of the Corporation's intention or commitment to award a grant. Charter amendments have allowed the Corporation to use 7.4 percent of its income for the same purposes in countries that are or have been members of the British Commonwealth. Overseas grants are currently concentrated in Commonwealth Africa. Grants in "noncharter" countries are occasionally made when their substantial purpose is the advancement and diffusion of knowledge and understanding among the people of the United States. Areas of funding interest: Education, International Peace and Security, International Development, Strengthening U.S. Democracy.

Applications are accepted year round. The application process is comprehensive, the foundation requires a letter of inquiry prior to submission of application.

The George Gund Foundation's guidelines reflect our long-standing interests in the arts, economic development and community revitalization, education, environment and human services.

Inter-American Foundtion (Currently Reviewing Requirements)

The Inter-American Foundation (IAF) is an independent agency of the United States government that provides grants to nongovernmental and community-based organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean for innovative, sustainable and participatory self-help programs.

Applications are accepted year round. Minimum grant requirement is $40,000 and maximum limit is $400,000 per project. The review process takes around 6 months.
