This sedimentation tank was designed and built in Summer 2007 by Sara Schwetschenau. It features a closed top design and a plastic piece with small orifices at the top of each lamella to equalize the head loss in each channel, theoretically resulting in equal flow through each. However, this design in reality, we still saw uneven flow through each lamella in the sedimentation tank. This design also made it very difficult to clean out the sedimentation tank between uses.
