Demo Plant Summer 2007 Sedimentation Tank Design

Closed Top Design

This sedimentation tank was designed and built in Summer 2007 by Sara Schwetschenau. It features a closed top design and a plastic piece with small orifices at the top of each lamella to equalize the head loss in each channel, resulting in equal flow through each. However, this design made it very difficult to clean out the sedimentation tank between uses.
