Standard Bound-With Resources (Print):
The instructions in parts 1-4 of this section primarily cover the creation or maintenance of records for the most basic type of Bound-with resource, where each internal title is a single-part, printed monograph. Parts 5 and 6 cover cases where one or more titles in a Bound-with is either an issue of a serial, or a volume in a multi-part monograph. CUL may have previously cataloged these resources with either the standard title citation in the Holdings notes (as shown in sections 1.A.1-2d.) or the ordinal citation (section 1.A.3 below).
There are separate, " non-basic" standard categories of Bound-with resources, however, such as Partially analyzed serials or Serial title-changes in bound volumes, which routinely come up for maintenance. These types of bound-with resources have their own specific instructions, and staff should take care to refer to the most appropriate guidelines for the resource in hand.
