4.  Item Records for second (or subsequent) titles in a Bound-with (aka "empty" item records)

  A.  If the Holdings record has no Holdings Statement info for volumes, supplements, or indexes:

  1. Create a new item record
    1. Leave the barcode field BLANK.
    2. The Material Type field should be set to the same type as the first title in the item (e.g. Book, Map, Microform, etc.)
    3. Type "Bound with" in the Enumeration field of the record.
      1. If the item is part of a microfilm, microfiche, microcard, or some other film type, type "Filmed with" in the Enumeration field of the item record (see below).
    4. Save and Close the Item record.

A. Call Numbers: All parts in the bound-with share the same call number, so if any of the second/subsequent titles belongs to a serial, AND we hold other issues of that serial (not in bound-with formats), then those issues in the bound-with need a separate Holdings on the serial record, as they will have a different call number than issues we might hold
