- Identify which title is first in the physical volume. For that title:
- Locate, import, or create a matching bibliographic record.
- Locate or create a Holdings record with the appropriate Holdings Type, location, and call number information for that first title.
- In the Holdings Notes section, add a note, with Note type: Note, indicating one of the following, as appropriate
:- The NEXT (second) title in the volume, using the format "Bound with: (author name, if available (last/first). Title of resource (or enough of the title to allow for a reasonable search. (see examples 1 and 2)
- Alternatively, the Holdings note can indicate that the title is the first in a volume with a certain spine title. We use the term "lettered" to note what the spine title is (see examples and 4). (Do we prefer option 1? "no. 1 in volume lettered:" seems to be mostly RMC? Are there guidelines/scenarios where one is preferable?)
- NOTE: In both of the above cases, the Holdings notes should be public. Do NOT check the "staff only" box at the end of the note field.
- In the Holdings Notes section, add a note, with Note type: Note, indicating one of the following, as appropriate
